First, ask yourself what are you really good at. What do you love doing the most? If you can answer that question immediately, then you won’t have any issue picking a niche.

Because if you blog about a topic you have no experience in or zero interest in, you’ll quit the blog just after a few articles you’ve struggled to write.

So let’s assume you have passion for anything business, relationships, movies, travels, health, etc. Any of that can be the best money-spinning niche for you.

I always advise you to blog about something you have an interest in or experience with. It goes a long way in keeping you put in the long run and also helps you dish out useful content to that set of audience.

Come up with a very descriptive name that tells your audience what your blog is all about at first glance.

Blogger.com is a Google-owned platform that allows you to set up your blog for absolutely free forever.

Doing proper keyword research helps to determine which keywords are people in your niche typing on Google to search for content, product, or services in your niche.

If you are blogging for free without a budget to drive paid traffic, doing keyword research will help your blog come on Google search which will send people to click through your blog and visit.

How Do You Carry Out A Proper Keyword Research You May Ask?

Well, there are several hacks and techniques out there on how to do keyword research. Some are outdated methods while some involve getting expensive tools. 

Don’t get me wrong they work, but as a beginner with no budget to invest in keyword research tools, going the free route is the best option which also works.

So in other to carry out proper keyword research, we’ll be using some free tools like answerthepublic, ubersuggest, and Google’s own tools called “Google Auto Suggest” And “People Also Ask”.

So start with, visit answerthepublic and type in your niche. What it will do is bring out what other people are asking in various forms just like the example in the image above.

This will give you some idea of what topics to look out for. So pick the keywords answerthepublic brought out and start typing them into the Google search bar.

Just below the Google search engine bar, you’ll see some more keyword suggestions Google is popping out.

Those are golden nuggets. I advise you to write the suggestions out one after the other. Also, you notice after typing in one of the keywords gotten from answerthepublic or from Google Auto Suggest and hit enter.

Just scroll down a bit, and you see a section called “People Also Ask” Those are pure keyword people are tying into the Google search engine.

For the final validation, to know if the keyword is worth writing about, you can use Ubersuggest or Google Keyword Planner to check their monthly search volume, competition level, etc.

You can see the Google Keyword planner in your Google Ads account under the settings section. Gather enough topics to write about before you go ahead to start writing your blog post.

I don’t say you go about spamming social media with your links. There are ways to do that.
